It is cash only, there will be no eftpos facilities and there is no ATM handy so come prepared with $$ in the pockets.

Oh my how time flies when you are having fun!! 11 Days till Christmas and one more day till MoAD Market Day kicks off! It is hard to believe that we are on the homestretch to Christmas and lucky for you we have timed our last market day superbly for you to get in your last (or first) dose of shopping to beat the mad rush.
Our Market Day that coincides with the City Farmers Christmas market and other festivities going on at Britomart, is going to be a fun-filled day where you can come, eat, shop, sunbathe, chill, shop some more and then have a glass of wine if you so choose. Take the stress out of your Christmas shopping and join us for some Christmas cheer! We will be in the Takutai Atirum right next to the gift wrapping station. Too easy!
Zekiah and I will be doing some super deals on our Alice in Wonderland Collection. Some so good you would be silly to miss out, I will be selling my prints at Market Day special prices, Zekiah will have a selection of her ceramics available and our good friend Luke from T-Shirtopedia will also be doing some crazy deals on his t-shirts! Form & Fable, Sneaky Studios, While Molly Naps, Ella Quaint, Creative Ink and Ingrid Anderson will all be there too, so to celebrate I am going to bombard you with a visual feast of lots of the things on offer check it out below!

Britomart is the place to be this Saturday folks. Our Christmas Market will be in full swing from 10am till 2.30pm in the Takutai Atrium down at Britomart, there will be 25 Designers showcasing their wares for your Christmas Shopping delight. There will be free giftwrapping on site. Plenty more to see and do in Takutai Square as well as the City Farmers Christmas Market. So much choice, why wouldn’t you want to keep it local??
Let me introduce you to some of our awesome creatives. Meet Creative Bhav with his range of wallets and cardholders. Made from cardboard and rubber bands, low cost materials, high design and limited runs. These are an innovative and sustainable gift idea for the men in your life!

Ohhhh we are excited that we are only a few days out from this months Market Day this Saturday 24th. We have a selection of hand picked awesome creatives doing cool things and ready to go for the weekend.
Say Hi to new comer Veronica B with her accessory and jewellery range. Upon launching her online store in April 2012, Veronica B has continued to build on growing demand. Recently described in Remix magazine as featuring “stunning limited edition pieces with top quality materials and eye-popping styles that are bound to re-emerge as a vintage fave,” Veronica B accessories are rapidly becoming a fashion must-have. With interest at an all-time high, the girls are working hard to keep up with the demand for their custom-made products, with pieces such as the chain necklaces and pony fur clutches flying out of their Eden Terrace showroom.
Also back after a few markets off is NZ Finch with her super cute collection of textiles and leatherware. I am loving her Be Brave Cushion and have already put in my pre order for one lucky person on my christmas list. Come and Say hi to Tanya and check out her profile to get to know her better.

We have always been a fan of Dear Colleens clever and witty design collection of homeware prints and fashion, so of course we are stoked to have her on board for this months Market Day this Saturday. Coming all the way from the bottom of the South Island (almost) we want to give her a nice warm Auckland cuddle! Well not literally but you get what I mean. Colleen will be joining us along with a hand picked selection of artists and designers to make you feel good about nearing the end of November and giving us that boost into the crazy and exciting Christmas season.

Like all good advocates of fair working conditions we have decided to celebrate Labour Day and do so a week late – so yes this means no Market Day in October. I know many of you may be disappointed but I am sure like us, you like to support fair working conditions for all too! We are giving our designers a day in the sun for MoAD Labour Day. Don’t worry we will be back in full swing for our next Market Day on November 24th, put it in your diary because we have a great line up for you that month in preparation for the build up to Christmas (scary I know!!).

Joining us at this weekends Market Day are Mariee Guinibert with her awesome flocks of flying ducks and Cup & Saucery, an Auckland based ceramics collective with a choice range of vessels, homeware & sculptural artefacts. Both have been Market Day favourites and we haven’t had them in our line up for a few months so we are delighted to be seeing them again!

New to this months Market Day are Ella Quaint with her delightful illustrations, some printed some original, of birds and other beasties inspired by vintage picture books; whimsical paper-cut, collaged and embroidered art cards. Also Creative Ink join us, a design company who create New Zealand inspired patterns and prints. Their designs are then used to produce limited runs of handmade homeware such as cushions, tote bags and textiles.
We will also be showcasing contemporary artifacts for sale which include jewellery, ceramics, textiles, limited-edition T-shirts, leatherware, object art and prints.
Pop down and check out all the market fanfare at Britomart, with the City Farmers’ Market also taking place every Saturday on Gore Street from 8.30am to 12.30pm.

While Molly Naps is returning with her accessories and cushions designed out of unwanted coffee sacks, MoAD have carefully selected a collection of objects for the stylish man in mind and I Am Worm will have her range of jewellery as well. There will be so much on offer the challenge will be knowing when to stop!
